Q.01What is TradeFlex?
TradeFlex is a free matching service for people in Cape Town and the Western Cape. You tell us what you need done (a plumber, roofer, solar installer, electrician or mechanic) and we connect you with local businesses that do that work in your area.
Q.02Is it really free?
Yes, it’s free to request a match. You only pay the business for work you agree to with them. Listing a business is free during our launch too.
Q.03How do you choose which businesses to send me?
We match on trade, area and how urgent the job is. When a business lists with us we chat to them and confirm their contact details, trades and areas. We don’t inspect anyone’s work, so always get a written quote and ask for the right certificates (like a CoC).
Q.04Who sees my details?
Only the business or businesses we match you with, and only so they can contact you about your job. We don’t sell your details or put them on a public list. Our privacy note has the full story.
Q.05How quickly will someone get back to me?
We’re a new, small team and we handle every request personally. We aim to reply the same working day, faster for emergencies, but we can’t guarantee how soon a business can come out.
Q.06Why does the form open WhatsApp?
It’s the quickest way to reach us and for us to pass your request on. Your answers are written up for you, so you just press send. If you’d rather not use WhatsApp, there’s an email option too.
