Privacy
How TradeFlex handles your personal information, in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
The short version: we only collect what we need to match you with a business, we only share it with the businesses we match you with, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Who we are
TradeFlex is a project by DreamCorp, based in Cape Town, South Africa. For POPIA purposes, DreamCorp is the responsible party for information collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@dreamcorp.co.za or on WhatsApp at 068 368 4705.
What we collect
If you request a match
- Your name and phone/WhatsApp number
- Your suburb or town
- The trade you need, a description of the job, how urgent it is and the best time to contact you
- Any photos or extra details you choose to send us in the chat
If you list a business
- Business name, trades, areas served and a short description
- Contact person, phone number and email
- Website, years in the trade and registration number, if you give them
How the forms work
Our forms don’t store anything on this website. When you press send, your answers are written into a WhatsApp message (or an email, if you choose) that you send to us yourself. WhatsApp is run by Meta, and its own privacy policy applies to messages sent through it.
What we use it for
- To match your request with suitable local businesses and pass it on to them
- To contact you about your request or listing
- To keep a simple record of requests and listings so we can follow up and improve the service
We don’t sell your information, rent it out, or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
If you request a match, we share your details only with the business or businesses we match you with, so they can contact you about that job. If you list a business, we share your business contact details with customers whose requests match your trade and area.
We may also share information if the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep request and listing details only for as long as we need them to provide the service and follow up, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Your rights, and how to delete your details
Under POPIA you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to us using it. Just WhatsApp 068 368 4705 or email hello@dreamcorp.co.za with the subject “TradeFlex privacy request”.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).
Cookies and third parties
This website doesn’t use tracking cookies or advertising pixels. Its fonts and code are served from our own site, so your browser doesn’t connect to font or analytics services when you visit. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process basic technical data (like your IP address) to deliver and protect the site.
