Terms of use

The ground rules for using TradeFlex. Please read them before you send a request or list a business.

1. What TradeFlex does

TradeFlex is an introduction service run by DreamCorp in Cape Town. We pass job requests from customers to local trade businesses that we think may be able to help. We are not a party to any agreement between you and a business.

2. For customers

  • Requesting a match is free. You pay the business directly for any work you agree to.
  • There’s no obligation to hire anyone we introduce you to.
  • We can’t promise that a business will be available, or how quickly they can come out.
  • Businesses are independent. We confirm their contact details, trades and areas, but we don’t inspect or guarantee their work. Always get a written quote, ask about guarantees, and ask for the relevant certificates (for example an electrical or plumbing CoC).
  • Please give honest, accurate information about the job.

3. For businesses

  • Listing is free during our launch. If we introduce paid options later, we’ll tell you first and you can choose whether to take them up.
  • You confirm that you’re authorised to list the business and that the details you give are true. Tell us if anything changes.
  • You’re responsible for your quotes, work, pricing, registrations, insurance and compliance with the law.
  • Use customer details only to respond to the request we sent you, and handle them in line with POPIA.
  • We may decline, pause or remove a listing, for example if we get serious complaints.

4. Liability

To the extent the law allows, TradeFlex and DreamCorp aren’t liable for the work, advice, pricing or conduct of businesses we introduce, or for any loss arising from an agreement between a customer and a business. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act that can’t legally be excluded.

5. Privacy

6. Changes and law

We may update these terms as TradeFlex grows; the latest version will always be on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
